Meet the Artist:
Elisabeth Maurland
Elisabeth Maurland was born and raised outside of Oslo, Norway, and spent her summers in Risør, on the southeastern coast.
As for most Norwegians, the sea, the mountains, and the forest were always close at hand, and swimming, fishing, bird watching, skiing, and hiking were everyday activities.
Her love for nature has made its way into her designs, as well as her Scandinavian need for color.
She now lives and works in beautiful Decorah, Iowa, with her husband, daughter, two cats, a hamster, and two fish.
